The last series of the HCT 2019 World Championship between Casper “Hunterace” Notto and Torben “Viper” Wahl will go down as a standout amongst the most electrifying matches in Hearthstone history. The series was as close as could be, however, it was Hunterace who lifted the trophy towards the end of it all. “It was truly insane,” said Hunterace, “My pulse rate was very high. I haven’t played any of those games in practice!”
In front of audiance, Hunterace was animated in the sense that he plainly was obsessing over each and every single decision, sequence, and position. “I’m extremely emotional and I care a ton about how I’m playing and how the games turn out, so I get truly worried—particularly when the stakes are that high. It’s basically what I’ve been really going after this whole year and getting to this point and accomplishing what I’ve achieved presently is so big to me.”
With the Hearthstone World Championship trophy closed by also not to mention a cool quarter-million dollars—Hunterace rushed to thank those who helped him to this point. “clearly, I want to thank my parents since they have been so supportive of me seeking after this passion of mine despite the fact that it hasn’t been a simple road to get where I am at the present time,”
He said. “At the meantime, I truly want to give a major thank-you to the whole Hearthstone network. Quite a long time ago I had a lot of struggles with different things in life and the Hearthstone network was kind of what returned me on track and gave me inspiration. It’s actually just been the passion I have for Hearthstone that’s been driving me.”
