Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the spiritual successor to the Castlevania series, will get $10 day one DLC, trailed by new characters, modes, and beauty care products as free post-launch updates, maker Koji Igarashi has reported. The free updates to the side-looking action-experience game will incorporate a speedrun mode, a supervisor rush mode, online and nearby co-op play, a “roguelike mode” and two additional playable characters, as per the game’s newly-launched website.
In addition, the game will recover a $10 DLC called Iga’s BackPack on the release date, June 18. In the DLC, players will most likely fight Igarashi himself and gain the “incredible Swordwhip weapon” for crushing him.
The DLC was at first promised as an exclusive for those that sponsored the Kickstarter campaign, which at the time was the most extravagant video game Kickstarter ever. However, in a Kickstarter update this week Igarashi said the network had shown it was happy for the DLC to be more broadly released.
“We likewise asked the network a while back if they were against us making the ‘supporter exclusive’ content (Iga Boss and Swordwhip) accessible to all players in some style. Almost 30,000 of you answered and the overwhelming reaction was that when all is said was okay with it, and the most well-known option was to sell it at a value that would regard the purchase the backers initially made,” he said.
Igarashi said selling the DLC was halfway about “making money“, however, the main reason was to guarantee “everyone had a protected and real approach to get the full game experience”—at the end of the day, he wants to lessen the chances of the game getting pirated.

“As somebody who’s pirated games as a result of bull**** against consumer practices, or as a demo to attempt and after that purchase (something to a great extent made obsolete by modern day discount systems), I needed to dispose of whatever number to pirate Bloodstained as could reasonably be expected.
“I understand that not everyone will be 100% happy with this choice, yet hopefully this helps in understanding the thinking behind it. And obviously, all sponsor entitled to this substance will receive the DLC for free.”
