Keanu Reeves Can Show Up All Through Cyberpunk 2077, Because He Lives in Your Head

Cyberpunk 2077's

During the E3 trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, we saw Keanu Reeves showed up as Johnny Silverhand, a famous character from the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG CD Projekt Red is putting together the game on. In any case, something unusual occurs at 3.45 in the trailer: there’s a visual glitch, and for a moment Keanu’s not there. You can see powerlines directly through him just fine, so it’s not an issue with the protagonist’s cybernetic eyes, however, something stranger.

He’s a ghost, not simply some NPC who shows up quickly, and it appears he’ll be a major part of the game.

We know he’s a ghost since one of the RPG books murdered off Silverhand years back, and though the body was never discovered, he’d be much older if he were yet alive. (Clones exist in the setting, yet we’ll overlook that.) He should essentially be Keith Richards by now.

As indicated by Cyberpunk 2077’s lead quest designer Pawel Sasko, Johnny Silverhand shows as a “digital ghost” who is introduced on a chip that V (the game’s hero) has in their head. They’re not clarifying exactly what that implies as “it’s getting settled fairly near the finish of the game”, Sasko says. However, it’s canon in the RPG that Silverhand’s girlfriend Alt Cunningham was a netrunner who was transferred and turn into an AI ghost in the machine. Possibly Silverhand pulled a comparative trick? We’ll need to sit tight until 2020 to know for sure.

Concerning what it implies for us as players, the undeniable implication is that we may get the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with Keanu. He can show up anyplace to chat with us, and even insults the player after character creation, saying, “C’ mon, you truly think they give a rat’s dick about what you look like?”

With respect to what Silverhand wants, Sasko wouldn’t let us know everything but did set up his backstory.

“He use to be a fighter for the opportunity, however, in the eyes of corporations he would most likely be called a terrorist,” Sasko said. “This is the person he is. He has an extremely strong vision for how the world should function, and he resembles a true cyberpunk. He’s the person who goes against the system, and against the companies, and against the city that’s only an embodiment of this. He realizes the city holds people in shackles—this is his method of seeing things. Furthermore, all of sudden he’s back.”

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 release date?

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020.

At E3 this year, Keanu Reeves showed up toward the finish of the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer as a character and then after that developed in front of an audience in person to deliver us the official release date. While our expectations for a 2019 release have been dashed, we currently finally realize we have not exactly a year to wait before playing CD Projekt RED’s new game.
